Who are we

A & A Travel Services is a niche inbound travel agency and destination management company with an experienced and professional team offering extensive destination knowledge of Australia, States and Territories.

We enjoy a long and productive working relationship with our clients, offering a series of group tour itineraries to Australia featuring both city and regional experiences.

Our clients appreciate the personal and professional service we provide along with the destination knowledge to support their group tours and itineraries in Australia.

A & A Travel Services contracts and manages products and services to cater for ad hoc groups, FIT and small party itineraries from select inbound trade clientele from the UK and German speaking Europe.

A & A Travel Services is a registered business of Abercromby & Associates Pty Ltd. An acknowledged partner with Tourism Australia and an active financial member of the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC).

Mark Abercromby

Owner/CEO

Mark, founder and CEO of Abercromby & Associates Pty Ltd, trading as A & A Travel Services, enjoys sharing his passion for the travel and tourism industry.

Mark established his own business; Abercromby & Associates Pty Ltd in 2012. In 2014 he was reappointed as the Australian representative and inbound agent for Studiosus, Europe’s leading cultural tour operator and continues to manage their tour series in Australia.

Mark can offer extensive first hand knowledge of Australia based on rewarding engagement and many years professional experience spanning both private and public sectors.

Mark’s formal qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing and Management with Distinction; Post Graduate Diploma in Business, e-Commerce with Distinction plus a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Alex Martens-Halbert

Manager

Alexandra (Alex) Martens-Halbert arrived in Australia from Germany in 1997 after graduating from the University of Applied Science with a Diploma in Business Administration, majoring in Tourism and Transport. She is a dedicated tourism professional with 28 years experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, with nine of these years working within inbound tourism in WA.

Since arriving in Australia, Alex’s roles have included Inbound Consultant for Australian Splendour, Product Manager for Bellini Travel, Product Coordinator for Great Aussie Holidays, Senior Groups Consultant for AOT Inbound and, prior to joining A & A Tour Services, she was Groups Consultant for Australia One Inbound.

As a result of these roles, her areas of expertise include overseeing the operation of group and FIT (Fully Independent Traveller) touring contracts, quoting, preparing itineraries, rate negotiations, liaising with suppliers, clients and tour guides, translating English itineraries into German and participating in trade fares, symposiums and workshops.
